Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Weather — Hikes run rain or shine. Thunder and lightning mean an automatic cancellation by your guide — safety comes first, every time. Your guide may also cancel or reschedule for other unsafe conditions, including flooding, high winds, trail closures, ice, or dangerous heat or cold. When weather is in question, the guide makes the call by 0600 on the day of the hike and contacts you directly.
If we cancel — If Hike with Jackson cancels your hike for weather or any other reason on our end, you choose: a free reschedule, full credit toward a future hike, or a full refund.
If you cancel — 7 or more days before your hike: full refund — or, if you prefer, a free reschedule or full credit. 72 hours to 7 days before: 50% refund, or full credit / free reschedule. 24 to 72 hours before: no cash refund; credit toward a future hike. Under 24 hours, or a no-show: no refund or credit.
If your guide determines conditions are safe and you choose not to go, it is treated as a guest cancellation under the schedule above.
Running late — Call or text (518) 504-0101 if you’re running late — the guide will do what’s reasonable, but a missed departure is a no-show.
